Cornucopia

This vase represents an achievement resulting from the collaborative team GENCERMORPH, together with studio SPECTROOM throughout the year 2023. Underpinning this venture was the establishment of a research platform aimed at pushing the boundaries of 3D printed ceramics. Using mathematical principles for morphological generation as the primary modeling elements, our exploration sought to transcend conventional limitations.

In this specific model, we employed non-planar printing techniques. As the layer height varies across the vase's surface, the extrusion of material adjusts adaptively: where layers are closer together, less material is extruded, and conversely, more material is extruded where layers are further apart.

The coloration of this collection was meticulously curated, featuring a gradient palette transitioning from rich browns to deep, dark greens, and finally to light, verdant hues. This deliberate chromatic progression emulates the natural interplay of shades found in Nature, where different tones seamlessly blend, creating a visually captivating, multicolored ambiance.
